VVPS DB

Methodology and coverage

How to read the research

VPS DB is an independent research snapshot built from public provider pricing pages, product pages, and documentation. Each observation carries its source and capture date where available. A date tells you when the evidence was captured; it does not mean the provider has confirmed the page is still current. Follow the source and confirm current terms with the provider before ordering.

The catalog records the provider’s original listed amount separately from introductory and renewal prices, setup charges, and tax treatment. Some displayed comparison amounts are derived monthly equivalents from annual, semiannual, or hourly source prices; they are normalized for comparison and are not a provider’s directly listed monthly invoice. The source basis remains attached to the observation.

Operational evidence is separate from offer terms. Provider status pages, SLA language, and compensation terms are provider claims, not uptime measurements. Benchmarks and customer-review records retain their own measurement or capture dates, distinct from the date the source was checked, and identify product and region scope when known. “Not researched” means no structured record was retained; it does not mean no status page, SLA, incident, or review exists. VPS DB does not independently monitor providers, and missing incident records do not establish no incidents or perfect uptime. Existing dated external-review snapshots remain separately labeled and are not operational measurements.

Billing interval describes how often a provider bills. Minimum commitment describes the required term. Amount due now is recorded only when the evidence supports it. A monthly equivalent does not establish the minimum invoice, total prepaid amount, or renewal obligation. Unknown or unverified terms and missing price components remain unknown; they are never treated as zero.

Visitors can email suggestions and source-backed corrections through the contact page. Reports are reviewed manually; an email cannot publish a catalog change.

Coverage snapshot

The validated catalog contains 71 researched provider leads, 69 providers with comparable priced offers, and 226 offer observations. Every priced provider is represented with the same research treatment. The 2 leads without comparable priced offers remain visible as leads: Leaseweb and ungleich. No offer is inferred for them.

Research includes selected tiers across product classes such as cloud VPS, container VPS, dedicated virtual server, managed VPS, VPS. This is selected coverage, not exhaustive provider inventory, every SKU, every region, or live availability. VPS DB does not independently monitor reliability or uptime. Stock and terms can change after capture.
